TWC Young Women of Achievement
Wednesday, Aug. 12, noon-1:15 p.m., i wireless Center, 1201 River Dr., Moline
The Women’s Connection and the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois partner to recognize young women in the Quad-Cities who have shown commitment to academic excellence, outstanding community service and leadership to worthwhile organizations. Any woman ages 17-23 living in the Quad-City area and who will be attending a high school, college, or university during the 2009-10 academic year is eligible to be nominated. The luncheon features keynote speaker Sandy Hatfield Clubb, Athletic Director at Drake University, Des Moines. Cost is $25, and advance registration is required by calling (309) 631-0167.
