The following are events that Trinity is offering or sponsoring in the
month of June:
Rudy Quijas memorial prostate cancer screening
6-9 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, Trinity 7^th Street, Moline,
6-9 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf**
The 11th annual memorial screening invites men of the Quad-Cities area to participate in free prostate cancer screenings in memory of Rudy Quijas, founder of Rudy’s Tacos. The screening includes a prostate specific antigen blood test and digital rectal exam. Screenings are available by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling Trinity’s My Nurse at (309) 779-2000 or toll-free at (877) 242-8899.
Ride the River
Sunday, June 15, registration begins at 6 a.m., Union Station, 102 S Harrison St., Davenport
Now in its 24^th year, Ride the River is a part of River Action’s mission to keep the riverfront a healthy environment. As a community partner focused on wellness, Trinity will be sponsoring Kids Ride Free as part of Ride the River. Trinity will cover the cost of children riding with a paid adult. Helmets required for children ages 17 and younger. Bikes, tandems and baby trailers are available for rent. For more information, call (563) 322-2969 or visit RiverAction.org.
American Cancer Society Relay for Life
6 p.m., Friday, June 20, through 6 a.m., Saturday, June 21
Brady Street Stadium, Davenport
The Scott County Relay for Life is a 12-hour event to raise money for cancer research and support. Team members take turns walking around the track overnight in order to honor those who have survived cancer and to remember those who have lost their battle to the disease.
