SPECIAL EVENTS – MARCH 2008

 

The following are events that Trinity is offering or sponsoring in the month of March:

 

Daffodil Gala

7 p.m., Saturday, March 1

River Music Experience, 129 Main St., Davenport

The Daffodil Gala is presented by the Midwest Division of the American Cancer Society to benefit their mission of eliminating cancer as a major health problem by funding research, education, advocacy, and patient services.  The evening includes music, food, live entertainment and a silent auction. Tickets for the event are $65 and can be purchased by contacting Kim Hatfield at (563) 355-2103 or kim.hatfield@cancer.org.

 

HeartReach Mobile Lab

7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 11

Trinity 7th Street Campus, 500 John Deere Road, Moline

The HeartReach Mobile Lab is a customized Winnebago that provides a variety of tests that identify heart and circulatory problems before they become life threatening.  The HeartReach Mobile Lab travels throughout Iowa offering in-depth screenings that assess risk factors for heart and circulatory diseases.  Screenings range in price from $80 for a resting EKG screening to $135 for a complete package.  After the screenings, HeartReach patients visit with a cardiac nurse to review the results, discuss any risk factors and develop a plan for health improvement, and/or assist with a physician referral if necessary.  Appointments are required and can be made by calling 1-866-WELL-HEART (1-866-935-5432).

 

American Heart Association Gala

6:30-11 p.m., Saturday, March 29

The Outing Club, 2109 N. Brady St., Davenport

The annual Heart Gala offers a night of dinner, dancing and live and silent auctions to raise money for heart and stroke research and education.  Tickets are $75 per person.  Call (563) 323-4321 for further details and reservations.
