Accountable to:   Office Manager

Works with:          Board of Trustees, Senior Pastor

 

Hours/Schedule:

24 Hours - week of the month that monthly financial reports are prepared

16 Hours – all other weeks


Additional Hours may be required during annual stewardship campaign and budget preparation


Attendance at monthly Board of Trustees meeting may be required

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Count all money from all worship services and incoming mail.
  2. Maintain computer records for all incoming money from church members, nonmembers, and organizations.
  3. Maintain computer records of receipts and disbursements using correct accounts and funds for the church and Red Wagon Day Care.
  4. Process disbursement and payroll checks for the church and Red Wagon Day Care.
  5. Maintain Personnel records on staff members.
  6. Work with Personnel committee in maintaining the church employment manual and assuring legal compliance with employment laws.
  7. Prepare and send payroll tax forms to the bank for electronic payment.
  8. Prepare financial reports for Trustees meeting.
  9. Meet monthly with Trustees.
  10. Draft annual budget, meet with Budget Committee and finalize the budget.
  11. Send quarterly statements to members who are behind in pledge payments.
  12. Send end-of-year statements to members.
  13. Prepare and send quarterly and year-end social security and tax payments.
  14. Prepare and send W-2 forms to employees and social security office at year end.
  15. Prepare yearly financial reports for UCC Conference.
  16. Work with Stewardship Campaign.
  17. Prepare financial reports for Annual Report, all church funds, Benevolence: Receipts and Disbursements, Pledge Analysis: Stewardship, Pledge Analysis: Budget.
  18. Maintain record of vendors related to the church and its maintenance.
  19. Work with Trustees on all issues pertaining to insurance records.
