Additional Hours may be required during annual stewardship campaign and budget
preparation
Attendance at monthly Board of Trustees meeting may be required
Responsibilities:
- Count all money from all worship services and incoming mail.
- Maintain computer records for all incoming money from church members,
nonmembers, and organizations.
- Maintain computer records of receipts and disbursements using correct
accounts and funds for the church and Red Wagon Day Care.
- Process disbursement and payroll checks for the church and Red Wagon Day
Care.
- Maintain Personnel records on staff members.
- Work with Personnel committee in maintaining the church employment manual
and assuring legal compliance with employment laws.
- Prepare and send payroll tax forms to the bank for electronic payment.
- Prepare financial reports for Trustees meeting.
- Meet monthly with Trustees.
- Draft annual budget, meet with Budget Committee and finalize the budget.
- Send quarterly statements to members who are behind in pledge payments.
- Send end-of-year statements to members.
- Prepare and send quarterly and year-end social security and tax payments.
- Prepare and send W-2 forms to employees and social security office at year end.
- Prepare yearly financial reports for UCC Conference.
- Work with Stewardship Campaign.
- Prepare financial reports for Annual Report, all church funds, Benevolence: Receipts and
Disbursements, Pledge Analysis: Stewardship, Pledge Analysis: Budget.
- Maintain record of vendors related to the church and its maintenance.
- Work with Trustees on all issues pertaining to insurance records.
